Chaloem Prakiet H.M. the King’s 72th Anniversary Aquarium is situated in the Development Study Center, Khung Kraben bay, Laem Sadet Beach, Amphoe Tha Mai. The Development Study Center is initiated by King Rama IX to showcase of various marine animal species collected by Fishery Department.
This small-scale aquarium has 36 fish tanks and a tunnel showcasing varieties of marine animals from local and nearby areas. It takes only about 30 min. to see all the exhibition. If you come to visit this aquarium, it’s a good idea to drop by Khung Kraben Bay Royal Development Study Center and Marine Animal & Fish Hatchery Demonstration Unit in Khung Kraben Bay as these places are in the same area.
Open:
- Tuesday to Friday during office hours 8.30 am. – 4.30 pm.
- Saturday – Sunday 8.30 am. – 5.30 pm.
- Closed every Monday (If Monday is on public holiday – the aquarium will be opened during office hours and closed on the following day.)
