Kung Kraben Bay Royal Development Study Center

Kung Kraben Bay Royal Development Study Center is a place worth visiting when you come to Amphoe Tha Mai. It’s located on Laem Sadet Beach and is only 3 km. from the dugon roundabout of Chao Lao beach. Kraben in Thai means a stingray. The name “Kung Kraben” came from the shape of the bay that looks like a stingray.

Kung Kraben Bay Royal Development Study Center is one of the King’s Bhumibol’s projects. It’s a place for studying and researching the natural ecosystem in order to find proper ways to develop the coastal area in Chanthaburi Province. Also, the center is a place where interested people can study the condition of nature so that they can understand the ecosystem in mangrove forest and can use these resources in the most effective way.
