How to go to nearby provinces?

In case you want to go to nearby provinces from Chanthaburi, here is some information for you. Please note that this is just the rough information. When I asked for the schedule, the bus terminal officers told me that you should check the schedule day by day. The schedule can be changed without prior notice. Please check with the bus terminal again when you travel.

Rayong/ Koh Samet

From Chanthaburi bus terminal, you can go to Rayong by van. It departs every 40 min. The first van starts at 4.40 am. and the last van is at 8 pm. The ticket price is 120 baht/person.

To go to Koh Samet, you will have to take a Song-taew from Rayong bus terminal to the pier in Ban Phe.

Trat/ Koh Chang/ Koh Kood/ Koh Mak

By Bus

From Chanthaburi bus terminal, you can take a bus to the bus terminal in Trat. The ticket price is 65 baht/person. The bus schedule is not stable. Please check with the bus terminal.

By Van

With Chanthabun Trans, the ticket price from Chanthaburi bus terminal to Trat bus terminal is 70 baht/person. If you have large suitcase, the price is 70 baht each. The first van starts at 6.30 am. and the last van is at 6 pm.

If you want to go to Koh Chang, you should arrive at Chanthaburi bus terminal before 2pm. Then you will have to take a minibus (Rot Song Taw) from Trat bus terminal to the pier.  The ferry starts from 6.30 am. and the last ferry is at 7 pm.

For Koh Kood and Koh Mak, you should arrive at Chanthaburi bus terminal before 10 am. because the last boat is at noon.

 

Pattaya/ Bang Saen Beach

From Chanthaburi bus terminal, the van ticket price to Pattaya is 200 baht/ person. To Bang Saen beach, the ticket price is 170 baht/ person. The van runs from 6.00 am. to 6 pm. It departs every 3 hour.
