How to go to Chanthaburi

  • By bus

From Bangkok, you can take a bus from Ekamai or Moh Chit bus terminal. It takes about 4-5 hours to arrive at Chanthaburi bus terminal in Amphoe Muang. The price is about 180-200 baht per person.

When you arrive at the bus terminal, you can take a local taxi, we call it a “Mazda”, or a motorcycle taxi to your destination. In case that you want to go to Suvarnabhumi Airport from Chanthaburi, there’s a direct bus that goes to the airport. The bus leaves once a day at 10am. with Cherdchai tour. If you can’t take that bus, you can take a bus to Ekamai terminal then take a taxi or a bus to the airport.

  • By taxi

It takes about 3-4 hours from Bangkok to Amphoe Muang. For taxi, the price is varried from 3,000 – 4,000 baht depending on where in Bangkok you start your journey.

  • By car

From Suvarnabhumi airport, drive on the motorway No.7, then exit the motorway at km.71. Take highway Route No.344, the Ban Bueng-Klaeng route. Turn left at the Klaeng junction to Sukumvit Road (Route no.3).

If you want to go to Chao Lao beach and Laem Sadet beach, turn right at Nong Si Nga junction.

To go to Amphoe Muang, Chanthaburi, continue on Sukumvit Road for about 30 km. then turn right when you see the sign “Chanthaburi”.

The total distance is about 250 km.
